Beehive House Activity

What a BEAUTIFUL day to go on a trip downtown. We had a great turn out. We carpooled downtown and parked at the Joseph Smith Memorial Bldg. There was a lot of construction going on downtown so it was fun to see the giant cranes, scaffolding of newly being built buidlings, and the fences all along the sidewalk were covered with a green film. It made us feel very safe walking with all these sweet kids in a very busy place. It felt secluded.

We arrived at the Lion House we were greeted by Missionaries who gave us a little history of what the house was used for and how it was built. Two sister missionaries led us on the tour. It was amazing to see how well constructed and beautiful everything still is today. Even though they were a HUGE family, you could feel the love and togetherness they felt in their home. The spirit was with us on our tour- the children were able to receit a couple of Articles of Faith, and the children were able to share their knowledge of the gospel as the missionaries asked questions. We are blessed to be able to be with these children anytime we get the chance!
